ANSWERPLUS COMMUNICATIONS MERGES WITH A CANADIAN
POWERHOUSE
Ed Robinson, President and CEO of the Nanaimo
based AnswerPlus Communications Inc. and Douglas D.
Swift President & CEO of TigerTel Communications
Inc., headquartered in Toronto, are pleased to
announce the merger/acquisition of the AnswerPlus
Communications business with TigerTel
Communications, Canada's largest customer contact
centre focused on the mid-market. The deal is
subject to the execution of a formal Share Purchase
Agreement and approval from respective regulatory
bodies
AnswerPlus Communications in less than 4 years has
become the largest message centre/ customer contact
centre on Vancouver Island, and one of the largest
customer contact centres of it's kind in Canada.
Offering services that range from voice mail and
message centre/answering services, to help lines and
order taking and reservation taking services handled
directly over the telephone or using web based
technologies, AnswerPlus Communications has become
recognized as one of the leaders in technology and
customer service. Mr. Robinson indicates that "for
AnswerPlus Communications this acquisition creates a
company that can handle it all for any customer in
our target market."
Doug Swift is delighted with the acquisition. "We
did our homework, and found that the positioning of
AnswerPlus Communications, their leadership, and
their success in their target markets were
consistent with our own, and we are confident that
for us, this creates a great fit and enhanced
shareholder value".
Mr. Swift goes on to say that we particularly value
Mr. Robinson's commitment to the Region and we are
pleased that he plans to remain with the company.

Community; he has served with the Victoria Chamber
of Commerce, the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce; he has
served on blue chip Boards of Directors and
currently serves on the Vancouver Island Health
Authority Board and serves as their Chair of the
Finance and Audit Committee; he has been a member of
the Advisory Boards for the 2001 BC Young
Entrepreneur Conference, the Malaspina
University-College E-Management program, and the
Entrepreneurial Committee for the Nanaimo Hospital
Foundation. In January 2003 Ed was the proud
recipient of the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal of
Distinction award from Gordon Campbell, Premier of
the province, for his contributions to British
Columbia and to Canada. As a recipient of this
medal, he has been recognized for his service to his
fellow citizens, the community and to the Canadian
Crown."
